VISITING LONGHAM LAKES
There are three entry points for the site:
 |
Along Green Lane, easily accessible
from the A348 almost opposite Royale Motors. There are styles allowing
you walk around the lake and view both the Quarry and Hampreston
fields. It might be best to use the car park for Haskins Garden Centre
and walk from there; don’t forget to have a cuppa at Haskins
afterwards. |
 |
From the Kings Arms pub car park, on
the east side of the A348. A public footpath leads off from the car
park over two styles. You then have the choice of turning left to the
East Fields or right to the
Green Lane
Lake. |
 |
From the A348 by Longham
Bridge. Park in the public car park by the Bridge House Hotel, cross the
road and take the path to the right before the (private) entrance to
the Longham Lakes Quarry. This gives you access to the East Fields and
you can view the Quarry, too. |
Please do not attempt to enter the Longham Lakes working quarry.
If you do, you will be evicted. It is strictly private.
