STATUS AT LONGHAM LAKES

Uncommon autumn migrant and winter visitor. All records given so far:

1. 1 on 22 September 2005 (in the scrub by Longham Reservoir North).
2. 1 heard on 18th October 2005.
3. 1 male on 13th January 2006 (Trevor Thorpe).
4. 1 male in the scrub by Hampreston Fields, 23rd October 2006.
5. 1 male on 11th November 2007. (Chris Parnell)
6. 1 on 20th December 2007 (Chris Parnell).
7. 4 by the edge of Emily’s Wood, 21st January 2009.
8. 1 heard on the South Side, 26th October 2009 and then 2 in the same place, 5th November 2009.
9. 1 male by LR North on 28th November 2009 (Trevor Thorpe).
10. 1 on 18th December 2009, with another on 30th.
11. 2 by LR North on 17th January 2010. (Birdforum).
12. 2 on 12th March 2010.
13. 1 on 8th November 2010 and 2 on 14th (Trevor Thorpe).
14. 4 by Samuel’s Wood on 17th January 2011.
15. 2 along Green Lane on 29th January 2011 (Trevor Thorpe).
16. 1 heard on 11th October 2011, at least 5 around on 14th October and heard again on 17th October.

20. 21. 5 (3 males, 2 females) on 2nd February 2013, near Green Lane (Trevor Thorpe). Also seen on 3rd February (Chris Parnell).

23. 3 on 6th January 2014 (DC), then 2 on 29th and also seen on March 31st.
24. 1 on 6th January, then seen on 15th April, ringed on 4th June, 8th September and 13th October.
