Curlew (Numenius arquata)
Status at Longham Lakes
Rare spring migrant, with 3 records:
1. 1 over, flying low south, on 31st March 2009.
2. 2 low over the Lakes early (8am) on 13th March 2011.
3. 1 over flying north on 16th April 2011 (Kevin Lane).
4. 1 over on 24th April 2012 (unknown).
5. 1 circling over without landing, 9th March 2013 (Kevin Lane); presumably same seen on the island on LR South before flying upriver on 10th (Trevor Thorpe).
